IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lorenzo "Ben"
Fairfax
November 14, 1958 – October 8, 2025
A Time to Be Born
Lorenzo “Ben” Fairfax entered this world on November 14, 1958, in Bolton, Mississippi, born to the late Jean Burse Fairfax.
At a young age, Ben embraced his faith and became a member of Orange Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the guidance of Dr. John L. Brown.
A Time to Plant
Ben graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, Mississippi in 1976, where he shined as an all-star football player, skillfully taking on multiple positions on the field.
Following graduation, he proudly enlisted in the United States Army. After completing basic training, Ben went on to train fellow soldiers in aircraft equipment maintenance. His service spanned from 1976 to 1980.
Upon returning home, Ben married Betty Harrington Fairfax in 1982, and together they welcomed one child, Jonathan. In 1992, Ben found love again and married Mary L. Hoskins Fairfax.
A Time for Eternal Security
On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, Ben was called home, leaving a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A Wonderful Time to Remember
Ben’s legacy lives on through cherished memories held by his wife, Mary H. Fairfax; a son: Jonathan (Kizzy S. Woods) Fairfax; a bonus daughter: Omegra Williams (Roger) McClendon; other relatives and friends.
