Willie Eugene Leverette, lovingly known as "Gennie," was born on July 18,1952, in Knobtown, Mississippi, to the late Levonce Leverette and Cozie Etta Powe Leverette. On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Gennie peacefully departed this earthly life in Jackson, Mississippi, surrounded by the love and comfort of several of his cherished family members. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and treasured memories that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
